I'm sure we all have them, self-sustaining construct "friends" who accompany us. Feel free to post about any you may have created here, or even create a new thread about them.
One I have I'm particularly fond of because I created him when I was seven or eight, before I really even knew what I was doing. He started out as a simple crow construct, observing and mimicking the behavior of other crows around me. Crows being some of the earliest animals I ever bonded with, it was only really natural for me to create one of my own. But he has changed over the years. He can take multiple forms at will, protect himself or me, and does general research and scouting for me.
I've affectionately named him Vore. Among the many things he does on his own is drawing upon a diverse group of energies as need be per occasion, though the two main sources he draws from are dark energies (which he is constructed of) and life energy. The latter only being to store it in case I or anyone I may know should need it in a pinch, and only taking it from small (unowned) animals. But being that this energy doesn't last long outside the bodies of living creatures, and I haven't figured out how to properly sustain it within him yet, he keeps recycling the energy and drawing more day by day. Enough time spent around him could potentially shorten the lifespans of said animals, but he moves around enough that that usually isn't the case.
He has three separate forms, that all help me learn more of my overall goal to teleport. One of a circle of about 200+ crows and some odd ravens, that he usually only uses in evasive maneuvers and movement. That form is also used for scouting areas around to find if their safe and learns things about movement and speed that it reports back to me. The second form is a snow leopard, who does more in the way of tracking and hunting and learns of space, like distances and pressure, and separation of objects and people. The third form is human in appearance, a hooded faceless figure in worn black robes. His job is to learn of time and relativity. You probably think its lazy to use constructs this way, and the thought probably occurred to you to tell me to just pick up a book, but I've always learned this way. It may be a slow method, but it works for me.
I'll leave the intricacies of its inner workings and the rest of its structural design up to your imaginations. I just hoped to spark some conversation about other people's construct friends, that may be special to them. For me, he may have changed and adapted over the years, but for many years he's been the only friend I could rely on, which I know sounds sad, but sometimes you just have to make due with what you have.
