I use the spelling daemon because in this day in age the term demon is often an internal form. Something the church says wispers to you and leads you to sin. So I use the term daemon as an external entity complete with free will to chose either Evil or Good, though it's often very hard to find one that isn't evil.
Daemons are either born in the Inferno or created from a soul that has stopped fighting and given into the burning sensation that is there soul changing. The Inferno is technically an angelic place, as Lucifers angelic essence began to seep into the world. Then the souls there change from that. This means that each daemon created is highly indvidualized by; how their soul were before, where in Hell they were, how long it takes them to give in to the change.
That being said, there are three main types daemons.
First, would be one that looks and acts much like a person would, only spiritually stronger in some ways.
Second, would be those who have lost them selves and are more animal then human. For example, there is a race that looks much like a man, except their arms and fingers are much longer, they walk on all fours, have no hair, and have black eyes that have sunk far into their heads. Their mouths are circular and they have eleven razor sharp teeth, they live in the desert caves.
Lastly there are the animal daemons, these are often more intelligent than the human like daemons, the most common of which would be a Hell Hound.
To stop any misconception, Lucifer did create the Daemonic Race, at least as we know them today. How ever, he hates humanity and many of the daemons were once human. Those ones would be the ones that make up Daemonic Armies. If Lucifer were ever to wake up he would destroy all of them as they were not only human but they used his power to make themselves stronger, willingly or not.
